As the largest university-based local government training, advisory, and research organization in the United States, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Government offers up to 200 courses, seminars, and specialized conferences for more than 12,000 public officials each year.
The mission of the School of Government is to improve the lives of North Carolinians by engaging in practical scholarship that helps public officials and citizens understand and improve state and local government.

Leaders in North Carolina Local Government Gain New Skills
UNC School of Government, with funding from the Civic Federal Credit Union, has created an intensive two-week program-Leading for Results-to develop leadership skills for local government professionals. Participants graduate from this program with a deeper understanding of their individual leadership strengths, skills for improving their organizations, and a renewed passion for public service.
